Wheel of Being
The ancient people, being that they were not near as advanced as we are today, looked at the world totally different from us. But we also have to remember that even though they did not have all the modern technologies we have, they did have many other special gifts. And in their own way, some were very advanced.
We have all heard stories of Atlantis, and other mythical communities like Lumeria who were so advanced that they misused the abilities and gifts they had and were ultimately destroyed.
The ancient Celtic people, like others of the day, also had wonderful abilities and gifts. In their daily lives numbers played a big role they did not look at the world the way we do today and they were so close to nature that they watched what was around them with much enjoyment
The Irish of ancient times used numbers in their daily lives to represent important properties. This is what the Wheel of Being means today:
Aon (i:n): The number one is symbolic of being it represents spiritual unity
Dó (de): Two is the echo, reflection, conflict and counterpoise. It indicates passage of time.
Tri (t'r'i): This is, three, the first formal magical number. It indicates a sense of completion and unity.
Ceathair (k'aher'): As with other cultures, the Irish used four to symbolize the earth and terrestial space.
Cúig (ku:g'): Universally, five is the symbol of man. It is the four limbs plus the head and the four fingers plus the thumb.
Sé (s'e): Six is the number of ambivalence and equilibrium. It is also the second of the cycle of 3 2x3=6
Seacht (s'axt): Seven in universal thought represents "perfect order," a complete period or cycle
Ocht (ó:xt): Eight, in universal symbolism, signifies the infinite.
Naoi (ni:): Nine is the most magical number in Irish symbology. The number nine was completeness. It is the triple of the 3.
Deich (d'ex'): Ten is the symbol of abstract creativity.
Aon Deag (i:n deg'): Universally, eleven is considered a number of transition, excess and conflict
Dó deag (deg'): The Irish viewed the number 12 as the number of preparation for what may be difficult times ahead.
Tri (t'r'i' deg'): True, 13 is a symbol of being prepared for difficult times, but it is not the end. It is the state of being prepared, of having all actions taken. It is completion and the willing acceptance of what lies ahead.
The Wheel of Being is an ancient symbol that interconnected the four elements or powers with a fifth, called the balance.
So in honour of the ancients, I have created the Wheel of Being. It will be the home of my trilogies in shadows so anything in multiples will be here.
Each new shadow that is a magical group will join this clan.
All shadows come in a 10 gm jar with a rotating sifter and 2 gms of product
Sirens of the Sea
Sirens, 3 sisters with beautiful voices who lived on an island. They would lure ships to the rocky shore where they would crash. It is believed that if a ship could pass the island, then the sirens would jump into the sea and drown.
In honor of the beautiful melodies these sirens made, (enchantress, seductress, and beauty) DreamWorld would like to introduce the Sirens of the Seas collection.
Each color is made to blend together and to create the beauty that the sirens were said to have.
Moirae (the 3 Fates)
The Moirae or 3 Fates are a part of Greek Mythology. They are 3 elderly sisters who are the weavers of the tapestry of human destiny of every human.. mortal or immortal. Even the Gods and Goddesses of Mount Olympus respected and feared the Moirae.
Every person is a thread of the tapestry that the 3 sisters spin until they cut the thread and end the life of the person.
Clotho is the sister who spins the thread,
Lachesis determines how long the thread is and
Atropos cuts the thread when the time comes to die, chosing the type of death
The Furies
The Furies in ancient Greece were avengers. They were the "Daughters of the night" of Uranus and Gaia.
They punished all crimes without mercy, and would strke the offender with madness and never stop until the guilty died.
They were the guardians of the law, had snakes for hair, but were not Gorgons, had blood dripping from their eyes and in general had a horrific appearance.
The 3 sisters are:
Tisiphone, avenger of Murder
Megaera, the Jealous
Alecto, constant anger
They especially loved to avenge children and the elderly if there was any crime against them.
The Ancient Muses
There are three original ancient muses.
Aoide, the muse of song
Melete, muse of practice and occasion
Mneme, muse of memory
